Milan to Chamonix

We went to Milan airport to see Jen off.  We tried to talk her into going to Chamonix with us since we rented a two bedroom apartment.  She didn't have the time, not to mention her last minute airline ticket change would have been high.  Arrividerci Jen!

We had to catch 4 trains to Chamonix so I was a bit apprehensive about our travel today.  Luckily, everything went well.  As we passed through Stressa, Italy we both wished we had spent time there.  The lake and countryside are gorgeous and don't seem to be overwhelmed by tourists.  Soon we were in Switzerland.  We just kept going up.  The views were incredible; what a great day to be on a train.  We changed trains at Sion, then Martigny, and Vilorcine.  I would hate to drive a car through here and miss so many views while driving.

We arrived at our apartment in Chamonix and were quite pleased.
