Chamonix

Bon jour!  We are very excited to be in Chamonix.  The change in altitude and temperature agrees with us.  The locals are also friendly.  We bought a one-day multi pass for the mountain gondolas.  We have not been disappointed.

We are also very impressed with the cooking here.  In France, they don't call it French onion soup, just onion soup.  It was very good.  I had to beat Vic off with a stick to keep her from eating all of my onions.  She said her prawns with whisky sauce was the best meal she had eaten since we ate at the Italian restaurant in old San Juan, Puerto Rico.   The pastry shops and chocolatiers are equally amazing.  I fear liposuction may be in my future.

We are taking a train ride tomorrow through this valley.  We recommend Chamonix to anyone visiting Europe.
