Who we are:   


 We are a retired couple (Don & Vicky) from Alabama living our September days by traveling through northern Italy, SE France, and Switzerland.  This isn't our first trip to Europe, check out our blog from Spain, Our Days on the Way. This is however our first visit to any of these places. 

We will start our blog upon landing in Milan on September 3rd.  Since my wife Vicky says I drive like Mr. Magoo, we will ride trains and buses to journey on




land.  I like this arrangement better since we can both travel with a libation if desired.  Plus the trains set up high allowing us both to see the countryside instead of the road ahead.  We also plan to hike the village trails between the villages in Cinque Terre.  Our dear friend Jennifer Nguyen will join us the week we travel Cinque Terre.

 We are fortunate to have this chance to travel.  So please join us on our journey and share the fun with us.  Feel free to ask questions; we truly welcome your comments.
